| Description: Significant 1879 Dubuque Rabbits BBC team cabinet photograph with Charles Comiskey. Incredibly rare and obscure original composite image of the Northwestern League Dubuque Rabbits baseball team. While at St. Mary's College in Kansas, Comiskey met league organizer Ted Sullivan who encouraged him to join the team in the newly formed league. Picturing the players posed in bib front uniforms with "Dubuque" across the front, the image measures 7"x9" on its original mount in a period matting. The players are identified under their respective images incl. Comiskey, Sullivan, Lapham, W.Gleason, Taylor, and Charles Radbourn. Image remains in fine general condition, but was of a low quality resolution at its original printing.
