Description: Unique photographic album chronicling the 1934 U.S. All-Star Tour of Japan. Bound album compiled by an amateur Japanese photographer during the Tour of Japan includes (25) original photographs. The first page of the album includes an affixed typewritten letter from the photographer to the U.S. team in which he writes about his high regard for the Americans and the game of baseball. Within the letter he also notes that only two albums were created, one of which he retained, the other of which is the offered album. Photos include U.S. team miniature panoramic photo, U.S. team in street clothes, candid images of Ruth batting, candid images of Gehrig in the dugout, the team in uniform, game scenes and stadium views, and Foxx batting. Image sizes range from 3"x4" to 8"x10". Includes letter of provenance from the Quinn family: EX/MT-NM
