Description: Pie Traynor professional model baseball bat with family provenance c.1926-34. Spalding Hand Turned model 200 bat measures 34" long and weighs 36.2oz. The bat exhibits evident use incl. period handle tape, ball marks, cleat marks, and checking to the back of the barrel. Spalding logo at the centerbrand area remains strong with "Harold Pie Traynor" stamped on the barrel end. The offered bat originated directly from the grandson of Pie Traynor and includes a letter of provenance stating as such. Traynor was one of the most unheralded batsman of the 1920s-30s era compiling nearly 2,500 hits with a lifetime batting average of .320.
