Lot 171

Description: 1925 World Series program attributed to have been used by President Coolidge. Program issued for a game played at Washington in the series between the Pirates and Senators. The program remains unscored with typical light to moderate handling wear. Interesting set of period fountain pen notations are written around the perimeter of the front cover including, "This score card is the property of Charles ?. It was used by President Coolidge in the World Series of 1925". While we have no direct provenance linking the program to the President we can note that the ink is absolutely of the period and in relation to the other very specific notations appears to be completely genuine in nature: VG-EX
