Description: Rare 1917 World Series program. Issued for a game played at the Polo Grounds in New York between the New York Giants and the Chicago White Sox. The series would go to the White Sox by a tally of four games to two in stark contrast to the events that would unfold in just two years time with the Black Sox scandal in 1919. Program is scored in pencil and has been professionally reinforced at the spine including repair to two small chips. Front cover illustrates President Wilson throwing out a baseball at opening day and retains excellent original color: VG-EX (With note to spine repair)
