| Description: Joe DiMaggio photographic die cut display piece by George Burke with related photographs c.1930s. Original die cut display piece made by noted photographer George Burke for Joe DiMaggio stands 8 1/2" tall on its original wooden base stamped by Burke on the bottom. The photographic image pictures DiMaggio in a classic batting stance mounted on a die cut wooden backing. Included with the display is a period artistic photograph made by Burke from the original display. The piece had been displayed in Joe DiMaggio's home on the kidney desk (offered in this auction) and includes a period image of the piece as displayed in the home. Overall condition is very fine with a repair to the ankles where they had become separated: VG-EX |
