| Description: Intact Hoard of (207) Joe DiMaggio auto. personal checks c.1980-81. With the exception of the few other signed check lots within the auction, offered is the balance of checks found within Joe DiMaggio's personal collection. The checks date from 1980-1981 and are all signed with the more desirable and uncommon full name signature "Joseph DiMaggio". The checks themselves each have "Yankee Clipper Enterprises" printed at the top and are made out to various individuals and companies including: United Airlines, Las Vegas Country Club, Cash (endorsed on the back by Marie DiMaggio), Rough Riders, Pacific Telephone Co., Alpha Chi, Presidio Golf Club, Screen Actors Guild, TV Guide, Parisian Florist, and Pan American Airlines. The checks each measure 3"x8 1/2" and are green Valley Bank, Nevada checks with the exception of (1) handwritten Valley Bank of Nevada desk check. Excluding a few checks, the cancellation stampings are very minor with very few affecting the autograph. Each check will be will be accompanied by a custom made LOA from the DiMaggio family with the corresponding check number on the LOA.
