| Description: 1951 Joe DiMaggio World Series ring. 10K gold ring features the Yankees logo surrounded by laurel decor in relief on both side panels with "1951" in raised numerals. "New York Yankees World Champions" in raised lettering encircles a baseball diamond that surrounds an inset diamond of approx .25 carats. "LGB 10K" hallmarks and "JOE DIMAGGIO" are impressed on the interior band as they were on the original 1951 ring for Balfour. This ring is part of the replacement set issued to Joe by Mr. Steinbrenner and the New York Yankees after his original rings were stolen in the 1960s. Very high quality ring originally issued for Joe DiMaggio's final World Championship as the Yankees defeated the New York Giants. The 1951 World Series was also the only one in which both Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle would play together as members of the New York Yankees: NM |
