| Description: Lot of vintage Joe DiMaggio items with relation to the Oakland Athletics c.1968-69. Includes (2) Joe DiMaggio professional model baseball bats c.1965-68. Louisville Slugger 125 model bats measure 36" long each and weigh 36.2oz. and 37oz. respectively. Bats have D29L stamped on knob end along with several numbers written in green ink (likely referring to weights). Likely issued to DiMaggio for use in Old Timers day events or later while coaching the Oakland Athletics in 1968 and 1969. Bats exhibit minimal, if any, usage. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions,Inc: EX-MT. The bats include their original shipping box addressed to DiMaggio in 1965 from Yankees clubhouse manager Pete Sheehy: EX; Oakland Athletics professional model hat c.1968-69. Retains McAuliffe tagging inside the interior headband and cardboard form: NM. |
