Group of 8"x10" black and white images taken during a gala celebration held in honor of Joe's 50th birthday. Photos include various players and notables such as Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Lefty O'Doul, Ford Frick, Mel Allen, and Joe Cronin. The lot includes several very fine images of Mantle, DiMaggio, and Mays together. Most are stamped on the back by photographer Joe Rosenthal.
