Finely crafted 10K gold charm suspended from its original 10K gold tie bar issued to rookie right fielder Joe DiMaggio for his first All-Star game appearance. As a 21 year old rookie, DiMaggio started the game in unprecedented fashion due to a spectacular .358 batting average during the first half of the season. Charm features a detailed game scene with batter and catcher surrounded by gold inlaid "All Star Game American League" lettering inset on a blue enamel. "Joe DiMaggio Boston" is inscribed on the back. The game was played at Boston's Braves Field with the NL winning by a score of 4-3.
