| Description: Fine Joe DiMaggio original cartoon artwork by Willard Mullin c.1937. Large 16''x20" original caricature by Mullin dates to one of DiMaggio's greatest seasons. The cartoon highlights DiMaggio's mid-season total of 22 home runs and features a large illustration of Joe at the center. Early work for Mullin, who is regarded as the finest of all American sports cartoonists, while working with the New York World Telegram. Signed at the bottom by Mullin. The lot also includes Willard Mullin handwritten and signed letter sent to DiMaggio regarding a request for an autograph on a piece of art.
