Exceptional original charcoal caricature by noted artist Burris Jenkins depicting DiMaggio collecting his modern era record 42nd straight game with a base hit. Large 19"x22" illustration pictures DiMaggio hitting an oversized baseball with various players falling off the side and Willie Keeler holding onto the top with a 44 game hit streak. Jenkins was one of the most prolific and respected sports cartoonists of the period with the offered example having the added significance of originating from the personal collection of the subject.
