| Description: Superb New York Yankees Sluggers auto. large format photograph c.1936. Oversized 11"x16 1/2" matted and framed black and white photograph picturing seven Yankee batsman lined up on the field at Yankee Stadium. Each player has signed their respective image in blue fountain pen incl. Joe DiMaggio, Frank Crosetti, Tony Lazzeri, Bill Dickey, Lou Gehrig, Jake Powell, and George Selkirk. The signatures remain in nearly as signed condition ranging from 9-10 out of 10. The offered signed photo was discovered in one of Joe DiMaggio's storage trunks within a period cardboard tube where it has resided for the last 70 years. The image itself has a few very minor surface wrinkles and a tiny 1/4" edge tear at the right side. Includes a copy of a 1936 image picturing the Yankees in the locker room signing baseballs and a similar photo. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication: NM |
