| Description: Significant Leo Durocher 1954 New York Giants World Series ring. The 1954 New York Giants entered the World Series as decided underdogs to the powerful Cleveland Indians who had captured 111 wins and the AL title during the regular season. The response from the Giants was a decisive four game sweep of the Indians to take the 1954 World Championship behind stellar pitching, timely hitting, and the greatest single catch in Major League history. Offered is Giants' manager Leo Durocher's personal 1954 World Championship ring. One side panel of the ring features an image of the Polo Grounds with "1954" date and the other has the Giants crossed bats logo with "1954" date. The ring top is very ornately decorated with "1954 World Champions" lettering surrounding a very large inset diamond at approx. one carat weight. Interior ring band is inscribed "14K Balfour" and "Leo Durocher" with some wear to the last (5) letters in "Durocher". Although Leo Durocher enjoyed numerous accomplishments during his storied lifetime career in Major League Baseball he is most endearingly associated with the great New York Giants teams of the 1950's era.
