Description: Rare 1945 Detroit Tigers World Championship trophy. Sterling silver two handled bowl presented to the Tigers groundskeeper Neal Conway for the 1945 World Championship. Lid is inscribed, "To Neal Conway Ground Keeper Detroit Tigers 1945 World Champions from Detroit Baseball Fans". Trophy features a figural batter on the top (restored bat) with floral garniture on the handles. Uncommon solid silver trophy is marked "Sterling" on both lid and base. Substantive World Championship trophy issued to members of the Tigers for defeating the Cubs in the World Series by a count of four games to three. 12" tall: EX-MT
