Description: Eddie Mathews professional model baseball glove c.1950's. Rawlings Bob Dillinger model BD RHT fielder's glove of a high quality manufacture incl. anchor web design feature. Glove has period "41" written on backstrap alongside of the red Rawlings label. Interior middle finger has been signed by Mathews in blue sharpie. Glove exhibits strong usage incl. pocket wear and general use indications throughout. Lacings at the top of the fingers have separated with some slight losses to the front. Glove was given by Mathews to Jim Jackson. Jackson's father operated "Roy Jackson's House of Hits" in Milwaukee which was frequented by the Braves players of the era. On one such occasion Eddie Mathews presented young Jackson with the offered glove. Jackson also served as the Braves substitue bat boy as evidenced by the accompanying photo of Jackson, Aaron, and Mathews. Includes letter of provenance from Jim Jackson, LOA from SCD Authentic D.Bushing-D.Knoll, color copy of the photo with Aaron/Mathews, and handwritten mote from Eddie Mathews stating that he used the offered glove: EX
