Description: Significant Roy Campanella 1941 East vs. West All-Star game MVP trophy. Large 21" tall cylindrical trophy featuring a figural batter at top. Inscribed on body, "Olde Tyme Club of Chicago Trophy" and on base "Most Valuable Player East-West Game 1941". Campanella captured this award at the young age of 20 while learning from his mentor Biz Mackey. Very rare to find any Negro League related trophies let alone one of this player significance and event impact. Has some very minor wear to surface of body incl. toning and patina tarnish.
