| Description: 19th century baseball bat with stenciled name and related tintype c.1880's. Early 37" tapered handle bat with small knob termination having "P.A. Rosdick" stenciled lettering on side on centerbrand area. Bat has a small knob chip and chip on end of barrel while retaining original surface. Includes period tintype of African American gentleman in what appears to be an early athletic uniform. Tintype originated from the same estate as the bat which were descendants of African American origin.
