| Description: Fine Lou Gehrig single signed baseball c.1927-31. Cream color Barnard AL ball signed on side panel by Gehrig in black ink. Signature remains very bold for Gehrig's hand rating 8/9 out of 10. Ball has some minor wear incl. a few tiny abrasions and retains very strong manufacturer and president stampings. One small abrasion has some indiscernable scratches which for the purpose of accuracy must be mentioned regarding possible period notation or signature. Gehrig's quiet demeanor and early passing have made the acquisition of a high grade single signed baseball a fairly significant challenge with the offered example easily being the finest that we have offered.
