Endearing one page typed letter from a young admirer sent to Babe Ruth the content of which is worthy of publication in this catalogue: "Dear Babe Ruth: I went to my first ball game yesterday, and wanted to see you bat out a home run so much, but the other pitchers wouldn't let you hit one. I am glad your wrist is better and that you played but I wanted to get your name to my program, and the big cop chased me when I tried to go through the gate in the grandstand. So wont you please either sign this letter or send me one, so I can have your autograph always with me, and oblige a little boy who admires you so much. Respectfully, Manfred Berliner". The letter was successfull and has been signed in bold black ink at bottom, "Babe Ruth June 12, 1934" rating 9-10 out of 10. Includes the original pre addressed envelope that was sent back to the boy. Poignant and rare Ruth signed piece that goes to the heart of Ruth's legacy as a player and personality.
