Description: Babe Ruth and Frank Baker autographed baseball c.1921. Cream color J.C. O'Toole International League baseball signed on side panel, "J.Frank Baker" and on another side panel, "Babe Ruth 59HR". Ball has a few areas on toning but remains fairly clean overall with Baker rating 6 out of 10 and Ruth 8 out of 10. According to family history this ball was obtained in 1921 after the World Series as Baker and Ruth were travelling back to Maryland where Baker resided and Ruth had family and friends. The two players were in a tavern and signed the offered baseball including Ruth's incredible notation of "59HR" regarding his record setting total of 59 home runs in the 1921 season. This is one of the only Ruth signed baseballs known to exist with a home run season total notation in his hand. Obtained by a veteran hobbyist in the 1980's and is accompanied by a letter of provenance along with LOA from PSA/DNA J.Spence-S.Grad. Interesting combination baseball with the dead ball and lively league home run kings: EX
