Five piece sterling tea set given to Evers by the Boston Braves for his contributions during the season of the 1914 Miracle World Championship. Each piece is monogrammed "JJE" and marked sterling, includes sterling silver handled mahogany tray with line inlay decoration and inset silver placard that is inscribed, "J.J. Evers From Boston National League Base Ball Club Celebrating Evers Day Sept. 16, 1914" along with the Braves' player names. Evers would go on to lead the Braves to the NL pennant and World Series while winning the title of National League MVP. Attractive and historic presentational set with direct provenance.
