| Description: Vintage Jackie Robinson and Gil Hodges photographic display. Set of two related images taken in 1950 to include: 7"x9" b&w news service photo of Gil Hodges and Jackie Robinson sliding at home plate during a wild play where Robinson was called out at home due to Hodges interfering with the catcher. The second image is a magnificient large format 10"x14" b&w photo of Hodges and Robinson "sliding" for the cameras the day after the unusual play as pictured in the first image. Uncommonly large image for its' era exhibits dynamic clarity and composition with Ebbets Field seats in the background.
