Description: Ty Cobb single signed ball from last game played in Comiskey Park. Fascinating piece which originated from the collection of a family whose patriarch ran a small baseball museum from 1940-60's. This object was one of the display items and is a Barnard AL ball which was used in game played on September 39, 1928 which was the last game that Cobb was at in Chicago's Comiskey Park. Cobb was not in the lineup that day and in fact had his last hit on Sept. 3, 1928 against Washington. The ball is signed by Ty Cobb on side panel with personalization on sweet spot (To Marshall From), signature rates 1/2 out of 10. Written below signature is "Cobb's Last Day in Sox Park" which remains clear and legible. Ball remains in its' original cellophane with letter dated 1964 from the gentleman who donated the ball to the museum. Includes LOA from James Spence PSA/DNA regarding the signature: GD-VG
