Description: "College Foot Ball Game" by Van Nostrand c.1897. Rare and beautifully illustrated football themed game is the first example which we can recall offering. Lid has a few small portions missing on the flaps and appears to have had some professional reinforcement added in a few areas. Both lid and the balance show mild toning and some light to moderate general use and storage wear. Several playing pieces inside are missing the wooden pegs on which they would have been made to spin in order to play. Impressive 24" tall: GD-VGEstimated Price Range: ($400-$600)
