Description: December 26, 1982 Walter Payton Chicago Bears presentational game ball - significant (10,000th) career rushing yard game. Wilson P.Rozelle Official NFL football with white painted panel that has been lettered "Game Ball Presented to Walter Payton, Bears - 34 Rams - 26, December 26, 1982, Soldier Field." Payton gained (104) yards in the game to become, at the time, the 4th player in NFL history to surpass (10,000) in rushing. Mild general age related wear along with some air loss. One of three balls related to this historic game which we are aware of with the other having been gifted to a close friend (sold at public auction in 2017). All original with the exception of replacement bladder and laces. Includes letter of provenance from the Payton Family: EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,500-$5,000)
