Description: Scarce 1976 Philadelphia Phillies professional model "pillbox" hat with possible attribution to Mike Schmidt. Rare one year style hat as worn by the Phillies during the 1976 season to celebrate the bi-centennial made in the manner of an early 19th century pillbox style hat. Three white pinstripes encircle the red hat with "P" on front. Interior retains its original Wilson tag with size 7 3/8 indicator. Black marker under the bill crossed out with non decipherable player number underneath. The offered hat was with the 1976 Mike Schmidt uniform offered within this auction with the size of 7 3/8 being consistent with other documented Schmidt hats.
