Description: Highly Significant 1975 Johnny Bench Cincinnati Reds World Series Championship ring. Classic design features a .81 ct diamond set at center of the red faux stone face which has "1975 Cincinnati Reds World Champions" lettered around the beveled edge. "Bench" name appears at the top of one shank with "Big Red Machine" text sent in a relief of Riverfront Stadium and the number "5" below. Opposite has a rendering of the World Series trophy with "Reds 4 Red Sox 3" outcome noted below. Size (15) and weighs (35) grams. Light general wear as expected. The 1975 Reds team is revered within the game as one of the greatest of all time. They obliterated the rest of the National League finishing the season 20 games ahead of the Dodgers. After sweeping the Pirates in three games they defeated the powerful Boston Red Sox team in a classic World Series for the ages. This particular ring was presented to the greatest catcher in the history of the game and central player on the 1975 championship team. The aforementioned significance cannot be overstated. In consideration of same we resoundingly place this ring (Along with it's sister 1976 ring in this auction) as one of the most significant World Championship rings ever offered to the collecting public, for any sport.
