Description: Scarce 1913 Philadelphia Athletics team panoramic photograph by William Jennings. (World Champions). Magnificent original black and white image of the World Champion Athletics posed in full uniform including their iconic double elephant insignia sweaters. Players are hand identified in white lettering underneath their respective image including Eddie Plank, Frank Baker, Chief Bender, Connie Mack, Herb Pennock, and Eddie Collins. Photo composition and clarity are exemplary with minimal surface wear. Image remains affixed to its original mount which has "Philadelphia Athletics Champions of the World" in white calligraphy. Housed within a period walnut wooden frame. Signed by noted Philadelphia photographer William Jennings at right edge. The offered example is the only specimen we have encountered or to our knowledge has been offered publicly.
