Description: Unique 1941 Joe DiMaggio 56 Game Hit Streak autographed photographic display piece. Matted and framed 19"x29" photographic display piece executed in the manner of the classic Babe Ruth 60 Home Run display pieces dating to the 1927 era. Large field of baseball shaped illustratives for each of DiMaggio's 56 consecutive games in which he collected a base hit. Each baseball has date, hit number, pitcher, and team of relevance with large sepia tone original image of DiMaggio batting at center. Signed on the matting under the photo, "To Juanita & Charles, With Best Wishes Joe DiMaggio". Blue fountain pen signature rates 9 out of 10. Although unclear as the original production quantity for this display piece, we can deduce that it was extremely limited and to date this is only the second example (first signed) that we have encountered with the other being the original artwork from DiMaggio's personal collection.
