Description: Rare 1927 New York Yankees panoramic team photograph. Sepia toned 10"x24" matted and framed original image of the 1927 New York Yankees team posed in full uniform in St. Petersburg, FL. Photograph remains in outstanding overall condition with the clean surface showing only a few minimal surface wrinkles at the far left edge. Players pictured include Lazzeri, Pipgras, Pennock, Hoyt, Combs, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, who are standing next to each other in the back row. Manager Bill Huggins and owner Col. Ruppert are also pictured. Marked "Burgert Bros." photographers at lower right corner. An outstanding rarity believed to have originated from a former team employee and one of the only a handful substantive large format images of this fabled team extant.
