Description: Fine Babe Ruth single signed baseball c.1940s. Light toned Harridge AL baseball signed by Ruth in blue ink across the sweetspot rating a strong 8 out of 10. The ball itself has no visible wear with only some very minor surface wear to a few spots mentioned for accuracy only. Signature is remarkably well preserved having been carefully curated by the family of the original recipient. The baseball was originally obtained by John "Jack" Connors who was the Eastern Region manager for Ford Motor Company. During the late 1940s Babe Ruth conducted a number special promotional appearances on behalf of Ford. At the conclusion of one such event Mr. Connor had the Babe sign a dozen baseballs for family members including the offered specimen. The current offering of the baseball is the first such occurrence directly from a Connor family member. Very fine and desirable high grade condition example of this iconic autographed medium.
