Description: Babe Ruth Alligator Trophy Mount c.1920-40s. Large adult size alligator as taken by Babe Ruth during one of his many hunting trips measuring 64" total in length. The alligator is mounted on a period leather backing and exhibits typical overall age/handling wear including some surface flaking. There is a moderately sized hole to the head area where presumably Ruth's shot hit the alligator. Highly uncommon and unique trophy mount which was displayed in Babe's personal collection.
