Description: Lot of (11) 1948 Babe Ruth secretarial signed thank you cards. Unique and interesting cache of original 3.5"x7.25" heavy stock greeting cards as sent by Ruth (or more likely his caretakers) in response to well wishers as his health was declining in 1948. Each has a pre-printed greeting (reading in part, "Thanks so much for your kind wishes...it's letters like yours that have done so much to cheer me up these past months.") and was signed "Babe Ruth" on his behalf by his caretaker. Each is housed in an original envelope with "Babe Ruth" return address. Hint of light toning/wear.
