Description: Rare Duffy Lewis professional model baseball bat c.1917-21. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat (dash-dot-dash centerbrand) with a well pronounced Lewis facsimile signature in the barrel measures 34.5" long and weighs an imposing 38.4oz. Strong use is evident throughout with ball and cleat marks along with a touch of light grain swelling due to repeated contact. An "H" shaped handle crack is not visible when the bat is positioned for display and there is what appears to be factory side writing which has all but faded from view. A desirable bat from one of the most noted players of his era and a key member of the Red Sox "Million Dollar Infield."
