Description: Outstanding Ted Williams autographed professional model baseball bat c.1955-57 (PSA graded "GU 8.5"). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Williams facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 31.4oz. Model number "W188" has been factory stamped in the knob which has player number "9" written on in thick black paint, a rare and desirable trait. Uncracked with usage and some general age related surface wear throughout along with a few green rack streaks. As noted in the accompanying PSA letter, "In spite of flaking of the urethane finish, we can see contact points on the left and right barrel." This a player specific trait and characteristic of Williams' tendency to swing with the centerbrand facing both up and down. The bat has been signed "Ted Williams" in blue marker rating 8 out of 10.
