Description: October 3, 1953 World Series Game (4) lineup cards and related material. After dropping a pair of games to the Yankees, Brooklyn squeezed out a win in Game (3) of the 1953 World Series and trounced their opponents in Game (4) winning 7-3. The Yankees did not relent and went on to win in (6) taking home their record sixth consecutive Championship title. Includes original lineup cards filled out and submitted prior to the game played at Ebbets Field by team Managers Casey Stengel and Chuck Dressen. Each has been signed (last name only) with Stengel on front of Yankees and Dressen on back of Dodgers. General handling wear and light to moderate creasing effect both, signatures rate 7 to 8 out of 10. Also includes pair of 1953 World Series programs (1 each from Yankee Stadium and Ebbets Field); period black and white 8"x10" photograph of the game umpires on field in street clothes (as noted on back) which has been signed by Bill Stewart, Eddie Hurley, Hank Soar, and Bill Grieve. Additional signature is unidentified. Signatures rate 7/9 to 8/9 out of 10, photo has several deep creases; Spalding W.Giles ONL ball signed by the same in ink rating 7/8 to 8 out of 10; Gore's personal file copy of his 1953 contract (signed by Giles in fountain pen rating 8 out of 10); 7"x9" press photo of both teams on field prior to Game (3), and period 8"x10" black and white photo (framed) of the 53 World Series umpiring crew. Includes auction LOA from JSA (signatures) and letter of provenance from the family of Artie Gore: Range VG-EX/MT
