Description: 1984 Eddie Murray Baltimore Orioles road jersey. Grey knit shirt retains its original team name on front along with orange #33. The back of the shirt features "Murray" nameplate above the original #33 (also in orange). Rawlings tag remains affixed to the tail front along with "Set 1 1984" flag tag. Desirable Orioles 30th anniversary patch remains in place on the left sleeve. The jersey exhibits light to moderate and wash wear while remaining in outstanding original condition. It is our belief that this particular jersey was worn by Murray during the Orioles 1984 Tour of Japan. While the Orioles jerseys from 1984 typically are found with Sand Knit tagging, the Rawlings tag on this Murray shirt is absolutely original and unaltered along with the sizing of the jersey. Rawlings was the sponsor of the Orioles Tour of Japan that season, which likely accounts for the tagging on the shirt. In the interest of accuracy, some are of the opinion that these Rawlings jerseys were made as salesman's samples for the 1984 Tour by Rawlings. Murray was one of the most popular players in Orioles history and a member of the 500 Home Run club.
