Description: 1939 Scullin Steel Co. panoramic photograph with African American Baseball Team. Elongated 11"x19" sepia tone photograph taken at the company picnic for Scullin Steel dated and titled at lower right Sept. 4, 1939. The image was taken with patrons seated and standing around grandstand bleachers to include an African American baseball team wearing uniforms bearing the same company namesake. Contrast and registration are very fine with the corners and perimeter edge having come losses, small tears, creasing, and tape reinforcement on the reverse.
