Description: Babe Ruth single signed "Home Run Special" baseball. Red and blue stitched Spalding "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" baseball has been signed "To William H. Walsh Jr, From Babe Ruth." Fountain pen signature rates 5/6-6 out of 10. Ball has toned throughout with some minor scattered wear and a clear coat was applied long ago to aid in preservation. It was formerly mounted to the included wooden blotter base and has a resulting hole and area of surface loss/wear over the stampings. Blotter has the name "William H. Walsh Jr." in impressed gold lettering. Walsh is presumably of relation to Christy Walsh, an early sports super-agent who represented Ruth and other notables. Includes full LOA from JSA: Sig.
