Description: 1989-90 Whitey Herzog autographed St. Louis Cardinals professional model road jersey (SGC/Grob: Superior). Road gray jersey has " Cardinals" team name embroidered across the front with number "24" below. Number also appears on back below a "Herzog" nameplate. Rawlings tag on the inside front tail (size 48) has adjacent "Set 1 1989" flag tag. On the left sleeve is an "AAB JR" patch worn in honor of longtime team owner August Bush Jr after his passing. This patch was worn by the Cardinals during the 1990 season, a black arm band had been employed for late 1989 suggesting that it was a holdover issued to Herzog in 1990. It would mark his final season with the club and SGC has noted the level of use/wear as "optimal" all factors considered. Signed on the front in marker rating 8 out of 10. Herzog helped transform the Cardinals into one of baseball's premier organizations during his time in St. Louis. Under his leadership they won (6) division titles, (3) National League pennants, and captured the 1982 World Series Championship. He remains one of the most influential figures in franchise history. Includes auction LOA from JSA and LOA from SGC/Dave Grob (graded "Superior"): EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
