Description: Fine 1974 Hank Aaron attributed Atlanta Braves professional model jacket (SGC/Grob: Superior). Royal blue jacket with red, white, and blue trim has "Braves" team name across the front. Wilson tag in the collar notes size (42) and has player number "44" written on in period marker. The style of Wilson tag came into use starting in 1974 and no player was issued number "44" after Aaron's departure from the team thus helping to the date the jacket. Very nice overall condition with appropriate use and wash wear. Included documentation from SGC/Grob notes that the history can be traced to Tom Hughes who was the Braves mailroom supervisor in the mid-1970s and assisted Aaron with the large volume of correspondence he was receiving. His remarkable consistency, power, and dignified manner had carried him through (21) seasons with the Braves. On April 8th of 1974 season he hit his 715th career home run to pass Babe Ruth on the all-time list; a feat most long believed impossible. He had become a symbol of racial progress in America and his perseverance would inspire generations. Includes LOA from SGC/Grob (graded Superior): EX
