Description: Rare Turkey Stearnes Kansas City Monarchs photograph c. 1938-40 (PSA Type I). Striking 5"x7" black and white image picturing Stearnes posed in Kansas City Monarch uniform standing on the field with grandstands in the background. Identified in pencil on the back with a few areas of typical light surface wrinkling on the front. Stearnes was one the best outfielders in Negro League history earning election to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000. Includes letter of provenance from Phil Dixon.
