Description: Rare 1924 Kansas City Monarchs team panoramic photograph from Kansas City Monarchs Player Carroll Ray "Dink" Mothell (Negro National League Champions)(Negro League World Series Champions). Significant early photographic artifact picturing the World Champion 1924 Kansas City Monarchs at Muehleback Field in Kansas City. Players are posed in full uniform standing on the field with last name identifiers printed within the image underneath. Players include Bullet Rogan, Newt Joseph, Frank Duncan, Jose Mendez, Oscar Johnson, Hawk Hawkins, Dobie Moore, and Dink Mothell. Image quality is outstanding with sharp registration and contrast. Photo has small corner chips at bottom left and right with a crease/tear at the top right portion of the background area running into the image of Frank Duncan. The 1924 Monarchs are considered among the finest teams in the history of the Negro Leagues capturing the first World Championship in their illustrious franchise history. The offered image was acquired directly from the personal collection of Carroll Ray "Dink" Mothell by the consignor and is being offered for the first time publicly.
