Sweeping 8"x32" original image picturing the Los Angeles White Sox Negro League team posed on the field in full uniform alongside of an apparent barnstorming team wearing several different uniforms. White Sox players include Wilbur "Bullet" Rogan, Walter "Doby" Moore, George Carr, Lemuel Hawkins, Bob Fagan, and Rube Currie a portion of the which have names written neatly on the bottom margin underneath their respective images . The grandstands in the background are completely packed with fans of all races eagerly watching the game play on the field. The photograph does have some vertical creases with a few repaired tears all of which have been properly conserved and inpainted. Additional age toning scattered throughout that could be restored if so desired. Laid down on acid free board (reversible if desired) , matted and framed. Marked by photographer M.F. Weaver, Los Angeles at lower right. Negro League photography from the 1920-30s era with relation to West Coast regions of any kind is exceedingly scarce and rarely offered to the collecting public.
