Description: Rare Turkey Stearnes photograph c.1920s (PSA Type I). Rare sepia tone snapshot of Negro League legend and Hall of Fame inductee Turkey Stearnes pictured in a candid pose wearing street clothes. The photo dates to early in Stearnes' career with the Detroit Stars and has period ink identifier at bottom margin, "Turkey-Mexico". Additional handwritten notations on the back referencing 1923 and the Detroit Stars. Corner chips are evident with some surface creasing and area of light toning at bottom.
