Description: 1934-36 Diamond Stars partial set (60 different) with (13) Hall of Famers. Solid foundation for a clean mid-grade set with nearly all cards offering crisp registration and bold color. Hall of Famers include #11 Dickey (VG-VG/EX), 18 Hafey (GD, pencil mark), 19 Mungo (SGC 6 EX NM), 27 Traynor (EX-EX/MT OC, short side to side), 28 Lopez (EX-EX/MT OC), 31 Cuyler (VG), 35 Averill (VG/EX), 36 Lombardi (VG/EX-EX), 39 Hubbell (VG/EX-EX, short side to side), 43 Lyons (VG), 48 Ferrell (EX-EX/MT OC, slightly short side to side), 60 Ruffing (GD), 63 Jackson (EX), and 66 Medwick (EX/MT OC). Balance average very nice VG-VG/EX overall condition with GD-EX general range and only a small handful are lower (PR-FR) with most extreme examples noted. Others incl. #4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12 (PR), 14, 15 (FR), 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 33, 34, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 52, 53, 55, 56, 57, 58, 61, 62, 65, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72 (FR/GD), 79, and 81 (FR). As is typical of this issue the factory cut can vary widely and there are surely several cards mixed in which would not qualify for a number grade is submitted for third party grading: Avg.
