Description: Babe Ruth autographed large format photograph inscribed to Jim Chapman (PSA/DNA 9 MINT) Uncommon batting pose variant measuring 15"x22" with a 1 3/4"x7" section cut from the bottom right corner due to a previous framing (not visible under current matting, see online description for photo of the corner). The image has been signed at the lower margin, "To A real friend Jimmy Chapman From Babe Ruth". Black fountain pen inscription and signature remain quite bold rating 8 out of 10. The image itself is presented in a matte finish and has been laid down on matt board. Right edge has a vertical strip of adhesive residue from farming that is not visible under the current matting but mentioned for accuracy. Ruth was documented to having only signed a very limited number of these imperial sized images with most given to close personal acquaintances or notable figures. This particular example rates among the finest condition of that very limited population with highly desirable direct provenance to Ruth's close business representative.
