Description: July 13,1948 Babe Ruth autographed letter to Jim Chapman (PSA/DNA 7 NM). One page typewritten letter on Ruth's personal letterhead as sent to his long time business representative and dear friend Jim Chapman. Content is regarding a personal invitation to Chapman from Ruth to attend the premiere of the Babe Ruth story motion picture. Ruth writes, in part, "To you Jimmy, I say you must be with me that evening." . Signed by Ruth in black fountain pen at the bottom rating 7 out of 10. The letterhead itself has some general light wrinkling to a few areas. The letter was dated just one month after Ruth's final appearance at Yankee Stadium on "Babe Ruth Day" and just one month before he would succumb to cancer. Return address of Memorial Hospital in New York where Jim Chapman visited Ruth during his final days just weeks after this letter was received.
